Clinical and Interventional Cardiology

Premier Heart Center

Dr. Steven Kernis, an experienced clinical and interventional cardiologist, leads Premier Heart in Turnersville, NJ. With over 25 years of expertise, he offers comprehensive cardiovascular care, encompassing both cardiac and vascular specialties.

This is not a Board Certified ACGME-accredited fellowship. This is a visiting traineeship designed for medical students interested in cardiology and trained cardiologists seeking knowledge and cultural exchange.

“I do roughly 200 ultrasounds (carotid, abdominal aorta, lower extremity arterial and venous) and stress testing in my office every day of the week.”

At Premier Heart, Dr. Steven Kernis brings the Mayo Clinic to Turnersville, New Jersey. For over 25 years, Dr. Kernis has used his clinical and interventional cardiac and vascular training and experience to provide patients with the level of care usually associated with a major medical center. He created Premier Heart in 2019 to be a place of cardiovascular excellence in a community setting where patients can get a complete range of tertiary care services under one roof without shuffling between multiple providers. Dr. Kernis prioritizes patient care above all else and strives to provide a VIP level of service. This includes quick appointment availability, friendly staff, short wait times and a comfortable office setting. Dr. Kernis places the highest priority on listening to his patients, accurately diagnosing their condition, carefully explaining their medical situation in understandable language, and recommending evidence-based treatments.
