OpsisClinical Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was founded in 2008 by Ioannis Liapakis, MD, PhD, a European Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. Its main focus is Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, along with the application of new protocols in Regenerative Medicine. The clinic offers tailor-made hands-on fellowship programs for Plastic Surgery trainees to share its expertise and knowledge globally. Dr. Liapakis is a member of:

OpsisClinical Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was established in 2008 by Ioannis Liapakis, MD, PhD, a European Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon. 4-Week Fellowship Protocol: OpsisClinical Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Week 1: Introduction and Foundational Techniques

  • Clinical Observation and Case Discussions: Shadowing the surgical team during consultations, planning sessions, and pre-operative evaluations.
  • Principles of Aesthetic Surgery: Introduction to facial, breast, and body contouring techniques. Focus on surgical planning, patient assessment, and expected outcomes.
  • Workshops on Skin Care and Cosmetology: Understanding the role of skincare in pre- and post-operative care. Hands-on exposure to medical-grade treatments.
  • Non-Invasive Procedures: Observing and assisting with injectables (e.g., Botox, fillers) and laser treatments.

Week 2: Advanced Surgical Techniques and Reconstructive Procedures

  • Facial Plastic Surgery Techniques: Detailed study and observation of procedures like rhinoplasty, facelift, and blepharoplasty.
  • Breast and Body Surgery: Live surgical demonstrations focusing on augmentation, reduction, and reconstructive techniques.
  • Reconstructive Surgery: Techniques for addressing trauma, congenital deformities, and post-cancer reconstruction.
