It is a great pleasure to invite to our institute for endoscopic and endoscope-assisted neurosurgery here in Greifswald. During the program, you will see various neurosurgical interventions including ventricular endoscopy, endoscope-assisted skull base surgery, and endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery in our endoscopic OR, equipped with state-of-the-art HD technology. Initially, we give you a short introduction to our endoscopic techniques. Then, we will discuss the surgical cases including the imaging findings and the planning of the appropriate approach. During the surgeries you will see the advantages of endoscopic visualization especially in narrow and deep surgical corridors or when looking around a corner or behind neurovascular structures.

Please note: This is an observership, no hands-on possible due to local law.

This program allows Merit Applications. If you successfully are awarded a merit application - Trialect will take care of all bench and service fees, but you will have to take care of travel and accommodation. All applications will be scrutinized under the merit category. Considering 50 million health professionals around the world, the chances of getting selected under the merit category would be very low.

1. Hospitality by the program director: I stayed with the program for one month. They welcomed me from day one, introduced me to the whole group and later gave me access to The Hospital , Neurosurgery center and the operating room. They involved me in their daily meetings and didactic lectures available throughout my stay with them. In all , they were very hospitable 2. Teaching Skills of the program director; The program director had excellent teaching skills and is assisted by his Staff and fellows. He taught both in the OR , during the daily meetings and sometimes in his office. 3. Drawbacks of the program: A lot of the communications are in German but they make it a point to explain in English as much as possible. I dont speak German and would have been a plus if I did. This is a personal drawback and not that of the program itself. 4. Program rating : 9 out of 10 .: I think its an excellent program but drawback to me is not in English for an English speaker. I learnt some skills which has actually decreased my operating time in straight : forward Endoscopic Endonasal Pituitary Adenoma ressection by 50%.

Hi, what is the letter of intent which should be uploaded for apply?

You will see several representative samples online to draft a letter of intent. Your letter of intent has to be very precise, describing your capabilities and interests, and at the same time clearly defining your goals.

My application has been accepted under priority status. The deadline for payment is 4th September. I would like to know if I can have an extension to try to accumulate the funds.

Is there option of part payment to book the allotted fellowship and to pay the remaining amount at a later date?

I am an Otorhinolaryngologist. I do a few of endoscopic skull base surgeries including CSF closure. I wish to advance my learning in the field of endoscopic skull base surgery. Am I eligible to apply for the program, as the eligibility section only provide a mention about Neurosurgeons.

Hand-on program is your ability to closely assess and understand day-to-day activities of the patients under the host mentor’s guidance. Yes but you will have to pay the difference on the amount.

Could you reconsider my fellowship under merit category, being student paying 1.2 lakhs in my currency not possible for me even if i select the shortest of the course. When applied for loan the bank personel wants the selection letter from host university. Please consider. Thanks

You can also pay in installments of a minimum $300 and make sure to complete by the end of a year. We can hold a spot for you.

Do I have to add references (how many) or is this optional?

What is the Program rating
