Understanding Visa Requirements
Visa requirements for Non-US citizens and Permanent Residents: B1 visas are intended for temporary professional visitors traveling to the United States. The Program provides an invitation letter to apply for a B1 visa for 2-4 week clinical rotations/traineeship if the visitor meets the eligibility criteria. All applicants must demonstrate their intent to stay for a specific duration and leave afterward, possess the necessary funds to cover trip expenses, have a residence outside the U.S., exhibit strong ties to their home country, and meet the U.S. government's criteria for admission. The Program does not support individuals applying for J1, F1, or H1B visas. When applying for a B-1 visa, you must provide several documents to support your application. While the specific requirements may vary depending on your circumstances and the consulate or embassy where you apply, here are some commonly requested documents for a B-1 visa application:
Disclaimer: Remember that the specific requirements and procedures can vary, so it is advisable to consult the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website where you will be applying or seek guidance from an immigration attorney for the most accurate and up-to-date information for your particular situation.
