Our laboratory focuses on the following research topics:
- CRISPR/Cas9 technology
- In addition, we have several open collaborations with local, national and internationallaboratories, to apply the new CRISPR/Cas9 technology to research in cancer (melanoma, pancreatic cancer, etc.) and neurologic diseases (AD, PD, etc.).
Techniques You Will Learn
Since we are a molecular and cellular biology laboratory, we currently use the following techniques:
- Genome editing, using CRISPR/Cas9
- RNA interference
- Cell cultures, transfections, nucleofections
- Immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, cytofluorimetry, cell sorting (FACS), Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation, etc.
- Basic molecular biology techniques (gene cloning, blots, PCR, sequencing, etc.).
Curriculum
Our laboratory has a long-time experience in hosting and training students, PhD students, and PhD fellows.

This program has the following durations available:

This program allows Merit Applications. If you successfully are awarded a merit application - Trialect will take care of all bench and service fees, but you will have to take care of travel and accommodation. All applications will be scrutinized under the merit category. Considering 50 million health professionals around the world, the chances of getting selected under the merit category would be very low.

The training period i.e. 2 weeks was too short period to accommodate all components of the training.I am grateful to Trialect and the host institution that provided me with this opportunity to attend CRISPR/Cas9 technology. It was a live hands-on experience and the group members in the hosting Lab had been helping me during the hands-on training. They were dedicated and willingly transferred all their skills to me within a limited period, thanks a lot to the group.
