Main Areas of Interest

The main clinical areas of our group are:

Open aortic surgery : from the ascending aorta to the aortic bifurcation through thoracoabdominals, infrarenals with or without CPB
Open surgery of the supra aortic trunks from the mediastinal trunks to distal vertebral surgery through carotid endarterectomy and subclavian and proximal vertebral surgery
Open surgery of the visceral (digestive, renal) arteries
Open surgery of the limbs
Major septic aortic surgery
Major second or third hand vascular surgery (we love difficult cases!)
Open conversions of endofailures
Very few endovascular cases

Techniques You Will Learn

Surgical techniques you will learn during your program here:

You will participate in all (above) surgical cases (4 full operating days and 1 consultation per week)
We will help you to master the basic skills of open vascular surgery

Curriculum

4-12 weeks curriculum

Paris is a great city but finding appropriate accommodation and locate amenities may prove difficult.
Fellows are encourage to organize their venue well ahead. Basic theoretical background in Vascular
Surgery is supposedly already acquired by the fellow. We will feed you with practical “hands on” surgery
and will not make you loose time with academic duties. If however you are interested in research and
publications we have more for you. See your curriculum as a “black belt session” in open vascular
surgery.

This program allows Merit Applications. This program allows merit-based applications for virtual and onsite clinical and research programs. If you are successfully awarded under this category, Trialect or the host mentor will cover the tuition fee only. All applications will be evaluated based on merit. Due to the high level of competition, the chances of being selected under the merit category are quite limited.

I was wondering if I could do the internship around Februrary-April next year. Would this be possible? I just need this confirmation before proceding to the payment.

Is there anyway to extend my paymyment deadline which is december 30/2022 by 3 or 4 weeks since my sponser institusion needs more time?
