Valentina Bugani, Head of Training at the IRCCS Istituto Romagnolo per lo Studio dei Tumori (IRST) in Meldola (Forlì-Cesena), has over twenty years of experience in the design, management, and reporting of corporate and healthcare training events, covering various formats: in-class, on-the-job, online, and blended learning. Her research interests primarily concern the analysis, mapping, and evaluation of professional competencies and the development of professional growth pathways in healthcare. She focuses on analyzing training gaps and designing targeted training interventions to address identified needs, with a particular emphasis on learning assessments and the impact on participants' reflections and perceptions.
Bugani earned her degree in Business Administration from the University of Bologna in 2002 with top honors and obtained a Master’s in Europlanning from the Venice International University in 2003. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Sciences.
She has previously worked on quality management systems and served as Head of Internationalization Services at Confindustria Forlì-Cesena. Currently, Bugani is not only the Head of Training at IRST, but also a Core Member of the European Commission's Harnessing Talent Platform Health Working Group and Coordinator of the Training Working Group at Clust-ER Health in the Emilia Romagna Region.
She has participated in numerous European and international projects focused on training and corporate internationalization. Bugani also manages partnerships with universities (Bachelor’s Degrees, Specialization Schools, Doctorates, and Master’s programs) and evaluates staff participation in Advanced Training Courses and internships both in Italy and abroad.
