PORP, TORP and mallevestibulopexy procedures
lateral myringoplasty
endoscopic ear surgery
Tympanomastoidectomy (CWU, CWD, subtotal petrosectomy and Bondy procedures)
Revision surgery with bioactive glass obliteration
Endoscope-assisted microscopic surgery
Cochlear implantation
Bone anchored hearing devices surgery
Otologic group meetings - multidisciplinary approach in planning for surgery, and clinical otology and neuro-otology

Curriculum

2-12 weeks’ curriculum

The program is designed to provide advanced clinical training in all major aspects of otologic surgery. The fellowship is based at the Division of Otology which is part of the Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Department founded in 1894, and is one of the biggest departments in South-eastern Europe. With four operating theaters, and hospital 66 beds, we preform 300+ major otologic procedures year, including 35 cochlear implants.Fellows will be supported to settle down into their new environment (find appropriate
accommodation and local amenities). We will arrange an initial meeting and feedback meetings with the fellow to discuss the objectives of the training as well as informal and social networking opportunities.

The fellow will be fully involved with all activities of the Department. They will be also able to observe clinical work of the faculty members of the Department.

The fellow will be given the opportunity to actively participate in group meetings and other academic activities within the Department, including attending workshops, conferences, etc.

Throughout the training, any particular challenges or specific requests of a fellow will be fully considered to ensure a responsive, relevant and adequate training plan is developed for them.

This program allows Merit Applications. This program allows merit-based applications for virtual and onsite clinical and research programs. If you are successfully awarded under this category, Trialect or the host mentor will cover the tuition fee only. All applications will be evaluated based on merit. Due to the high level of competition, the chances of being selected under the merit category are quite limited.
