The Department of Nephrology in Attikon University Hospital is training nephrologists in order to deliver the high quality and value of care in all aspects of nephrology practice. In this regard is providing a 6-month training focused on glomerular diseases and vasculitis. The clinical training in glomerular diseases is open to physicians who are currently nephrology fellows or have completed a general nephrology fellowship. It includes advanced training in clinical nephrology focused on the management of patients with various glomerular diseases with i/ active participation in a busy Glomerular disease clinic, in which thirty outpatients are seen weekly, ii/ participation in a histopathology meeting where all kidney biopsies are shared and being discussed thoroughly every 2 weeks with an pathologist with expertise in the field, and iii/ vigorous training in microscopic urine analysis by very experienced clinical nephrologists.
i/ Glomerular disease clinical practice (from diagnosis to treatment and long term follow up)
ii/ Kidney biopsy findings interpretation and therapeutical approaches
iii/ Training in microscopic urine analysis (diagnosis and follow up of patients with glomerular disease)
Microscopic urine analysis, Kidney ultra sound, Kidney biopsy findings interpretation and therapeutical approaches
Any nephrology fellow or a physician who have completed the nephrology fellowship and has interest in the filed of glomerular diseases is welcome
Scholars should cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

This program allows Merit Applications. If you successfully are awarded a merit application - Trialect will take care of all bench and service fees, but you will have to take care of travel and accommodation.
