  •  Interpretation of diagnostic imaging tests (e.g., bedside ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET, DEXA, X-ray)
  •  Implementation of innovative clinical assessment strategies
  •  Implementation of innovative monitoring strategies (e.g., muscle strength testing, physical and cognitive performance testing
  •  Multi-domain and innovative care pathways for older patients
  • Telemedicine for remote patient monitoring and consultation

These techniques aim to equip participants with the skills necessary to provide comprehensive care for older adults across various healthcare settings.

The Gerontology and Geriatrics curriculum covers:

  1.  Core Clinical Knowledge: Understanding aging-related changes, geriatric syndromes, and evidence-based management.
  2. Diagnostic Skills: Interpreting geriatric tests like ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET, DEXA, and X-ray.
  3. Clinical Assessment Techniques: Employing innovative strategies for physical, cognitive, and psychosocial evaluations.
  4. Monitoring Strategies: Using advanced techniques to track patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
  5. Care Pathways Development: Tailoring multi-domain care plans for older patients, including those with complex conditions.
  6. Telemedicine Skills: Mastering remote patient monitoring and consultation for efficient care delivery.
  7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Promoting teamwork among healthcare professionals for holistic care.
  8. Ethical and Legal Considerations: Understanding principles and frameworks in geriatric care.

This program allows Merit Applications. This program allows merit-based applications for virtual and onsite clinical and research programs. If you are successfully awarded under this category, Trialect or the host mentor will cover the tuition fee only. All applications will be evaluated based on merit. Due to the high level of competition, the chances of being selected under the merit category are quite limited.
