Once you fill in a questionnaire, a personalized curriculum, based on your background and interests will be set up for you.

Modules

Module 1: Caring for yourself and others. Preventing and dealing with cancer and chronic diseases

This module will answer the question: Where am I now?
How to assess your own/other health under an holistic/integral approach
Do you care for yourself? How do you care for yourself? What difficulties arise from your disease?
Do you care for someone else? If so, how do you cope with the burden of being a carer? What difficulties arise from their disease?

Module 2: Living the present in full, but with the end in mind

This module will answer the question: Where do I want to go and why?
Go through mindfulness, meditation, and prayer
How can we live in the present?
What does living in the present mean?
What is my end goal?
What are small steps I can make to head towards my end goal?

Module 3: Moving from patient to person. Patients as health providers.

This module will answer the question: Who is walking with me?
We will learn how facilitators (e.g. patients, health providers, lay people) can empower other patients to take the reins of their own health
Why is it useful for us to train patients to be health providers?

Module 4: The seven habits to become an expert patient

This module will answer the question: How am I going to?
Habits, attitudes and behaviors you need to cultivate.

Module 5: Chronic diseases and specific topics to apply your knowledge as facilitator at the EPM.

This module will discuss the topic: Your own way, with specific features

Module 6: Helping you develop your own project at the personal, community and professional level.

This module will discuss the topic: Planning the trip
How will I find an EPM community?
How will I encourage others to join the EPM community?
How can I encourage patients to continue being part of the program?
What are my goals for my project?

This program allows Merit Applications. This program allows merit-based applications for virtual and onsite clinical and research programs. If you are successfully awarded under this category, Trialect or the host mentor will cover the tuition fee only. All applications will be evaluated based on merit. Due to the high level of competition, the chances of being selected under the merit category are quite limited.
