Applicants will be supported in settling into their new environment. A desk space will be allocated. I will arrange an initial meeting with the applicants to discuss the objectives of the program and the applicants’ expectations.
The applicants will be supervised to run each study. They can discuss any aspects of the general running of the study protocols with me and other lab members. I will arrange a weekly or bi-weekly meeting with the applicants to follow up on their progress.
The applicants will participate in the research group meetings in our lab. The applicants must give an oral presentation of their studies at a research group meeting at least once before they complete their programs.
We will meet with the applicants toward the end of the programs to discuss plans to publish or disseminate their research results. We will assist them in identifying existing or future opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills gained to their further research.
