What we offer:
Apply now – we look forward to welcoming you to Hamburg!
Our fellowship provides involvement in the operating room, offering exposure to a wide range of advanced knee procedures. Fellows become members of the surgical team and gain in-depth experience in complex reconstructive techniques.
In parallel, we strongly support academic development: fellows are encouraged to engage in scientific work both in our state-of-the-art biomechanical laboratory and through participation in ongoing clinical research projects. This dual focus allows for a deep understanding of both surgical practice and the evidence behind it.
Techniques
Meniscus preservation and allograft transplantation
Fellows are involved in both standard and complex procedures, with structured supervision and the opportunity to progressively take on operative responsibilities.
The fellowship curriculum offers a well-structured combination of hands-on surgical training and active involvement in research, both in clinical studies and in our dedicated biomechanical laboratory. Fellows are integrated into the daily surgical schedule and are encouraged to contribute to ongoing academic projects.
Previous experience in orthopedic surgery and scientific work is highly valued. German language skills are welcome, especially for participation in clinical routines, but English is fully accepted as the working language within the team and for all scientific activities.
Accommodations can be provided at the hospital.
