The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify a CEPH-accredited, ASPPH-member school or program of public health to develop recommendations for containing and subsidizing the costs associated with Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Certification exam and certification costs. The subawardee will define and recommend strategies for offsetting the costs associated with voluntary certification and maintenance of certification. This initiative seeks to make the voluntary certification more accessible and affordable for candidates, thereby increasing participation in the DIS Certification program and enhancing the workforce's capacity to manage and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. The cost containment and subsidization models will provide a strategic framework for practice and academic organizations, facilitating efforts to recruit, train, and retain the disease intervention workforce.
This funding opportunity is available to CEPH-accredited schools and programs of public health who are members of the Association of School and Programs for Public Health Programs (ASPPH)
