The goal of this award is to provide support to eligible institutions to develop and enhance the opportunities for physicians training for research careers in dermatology, rheumatology, pediatric dermatology, and pediatric rheumatology. Priority consideration will be given to applications that advance psoriatic disease research.
Applicants may request up to $50,000 (direct costs only) per year. Institutions are to certify that funds will be applied to stipend, salary, and find benefits only. The total project period for the application submitted is one year to take place from July 1 – June 30.
Applications for the 2025 funding cycle will be released in Fall 2024.
Psoriatic Disease Research Fellowships may take place at any institution with an eligible fellowship program and devote at least 75% of their effort to research during the project period. Fellowships are primarily intended for those who already hold an M.D., however applications to support exceptionally promising medical students will be accepted. The fellow cannot be a faculty member, or in a residency program, during the project period.
