The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to encourage revision applications from active P30 Cancer Center Support Grants (CCSG) to support an expansion of cancer research conducted in a cancer center by incorporating a new technical approach or instrument developed through support from the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program into a pilot cancer research project.
As a component of the NCI IMAT program , this NOFO is meant to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the development of innovative tools and methods as well as incentivize independent validation and accelerate the suitability of these emerging technologies to enable cancer research and accelerate scientific discovery.
