Each year the Institut Pasteur Department of International Affairs allocates funding to promote and aid completion of doctoral theses for both French and foreign scientists in institutes within the Institut Pasteur International Network located outside mainland France.

These doctoral grants aim to promote the mobility of young scientists; the doctoral internship must therefore be carried out outside the country in which the university studies were carried out. Doctoral students must be enrolled at a French or foreign university (local or otherwise) and the doctoral school to which the host laboratory is affiliated.

The subject of the thesis may concern all the themes developed in the laboratories of the Pasteur Network institutes: infectious physiopathology, immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, virology, parasitology, public health activities, etc.

Eligibility Requirements

The applicant should hold a Masters degree or equivalent diploma (completion of 5 years of higher education). Applicants who have already begun their thesis may not apply.

Doctoral students should be enrolled at the doctoral school to which the host laboratory is affiliated, which can belong to a university in France or abroad.
